For my business

Ben Training

With mental wellbeing high on the automotive industry agenda, Ben Training is here to help.

We deliver effective health and wellbeing training to people working in automotive, supporting everyone from shop floor to top floor to build the self-awareness and good habits that promote resilient mental health, and the skills to help others.

Ben Training offers a comprehensive range of face to face and online courses and all profits go towards providing support for life to automotive people and their family dependents.

Why choose Ben as your training partner?

In addition to the statutory requirement to keep employees physically safe at work, protecting and promoting their mental wellbeing is fast becoming part of an automotive industry employer's remit.

How employers support and look after their staff will be a measure of their success and an integral part of their corporate social responsibility efforts.  To help our partners in the automotive industry meet these goals, Ben Training delivers effective health and wellbeing training, supporting people from shop floor to top floor to build the self-awareness and good habits that promote resilient mental health, and the skills to help others.  From mental health first aid and managing mental health in the workplace, to managing your mood, coping with anxiety and understanding your finances, Ben Training offers a comprehensive range of courses that enable our clients to provide holistic health and wellbeing support to their employees.

Drawing on our years of experience providing support for life to automotive people and their family dependents, Ben Training understands the issues that affect people working in our industry the most and we know how to help.  We have a well-established helpline team that enables those in need to access the right support quickly and to help employers make appropriate referrals.

As a not-for-profit organisation, any profit we do make from delivering our training courses goes straight back into the charity to help automotive people, so as well as helping their own employees, Ben Training clients are helping support others in our industry.

We deliver training online and face to face, depending on the course content and client need.  With so many people working from home, our online training means employers can continue to support their teams while we work our way through the global pandemic and beyond.  Our flexible online offering also means we can support large, geographically diverse companies as well as SMEs who want to book training for a smaller number of people.  Arguably, there has never been a better time to offer health and wellbeing support to employees.

Why Ben Training?

With mental wellbeing high on the automotive industry agenda, Ben Training is here to help.  We deliver effective health and wellbeing training to people working in automotive, supporting everyone from shop floor to top floor to build the self-awareness and good habits that promote resilient mental health and improved physical wellbeing, along with the skills to help others.

We’re part of Ben

Ben Training is part of Ben, the automotive industry charity that provides support for life to automotive people and their family dependents.  We see first-hand the challenges faced by automotive employers and their employees, which enables us to deliver training that is effective in meeting the needs of people in our industry.  Add to that our well-established helpline that enables those in need to access support and employers to make appropriate referrals and it’s clear why Ben is the perfect wellbeing partner for your organisation.

All profits go towards helping people

As a not-for-profit organisation, any profit we do make from delivering our training courses goes straight back into the charity, so as well as improving the health and wellbeing of your own employees, you’ll be helping other automotive people who need support.

Why offer health and wellbeing training to your employees?

Improved productivity and performance: health and wellbeing training can help improve mental and physical wellbeing. A happier, healthier workforce means reduced rates of absence due to sickness and improved productivity and performance.

  • Improved staff retention: how you support and look after your staff is an integral part of your corporate social responsibility and a key part of being seen as a ‘good company to work for’, which helps to attract and retain the best people.  Offering high-value training that has a real impact makes people feel valued; people who feel valued by their employers are more likely to stay.
  • Improved wellbeing: poor mental health costs employers in the UK between £33bn and £42bn a year (Thriving At Work Report 2017).  Mental health difficulties are the biggest cause of absence in this country (Health and Sickness Executive 2018).  And that was before the pandemic.  Ben Training’s Health and Wellbeing training empowers your employees to monitor and improve their mental and physical wellbeing.  Improved wellbeing means reduced sickness and a happier, healthier workforce.
