As the manager of a workplace day care centre, no two days are ever the same for me! My days are always different and it's this variety of work that I enjoy the most.

Any one day can involve liaising with social services regarding a referral, reviewing care plans, arranging assessments, meeting a potential day care member and their families or corresponding with other organisations.

These days I spend much more time in the office. I love spending time with our members and building relationships with each of them, but juggling my time can sometimes be quite difficult.

I find it especially rewarding to see positive changes in our members, such as those who are lonely or depressed, after spending some time with us. Seeing this impact first-hand is a very satisfying experience.

We're a very close team here at Arthur Wilson House and this is something I particularly enjoy. It's always lots of fun and we have a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
