I have worked at Town Thorns for over six years as Kitchen and Food Services Assistant.
I am part of a big and very busy team and my work is very varied. My work involves everything from cleaning the kitchen and food trolleys, helping with the cooking, making sandwiches, preparing snacks, liquidising meals for less able residents and taking care of the prep for the chefs. I'm always on my feet and the work is pretty much non-stop!
I love to interact with the residents, most of whom enjoy a good chat and a laugh and this is one of the most enjoyable things about my work. I feel like I'm part of a big happy family and Town Thorns is such a beautiful environment to work in. It's rare to find such a perfect team and place to work; I'm very lucky.
