dentist

Service users are encouraged to retain their own dentist where possible, however if this is not possible, we have a local dentist who visits the centre on a regular basis.

optician

If you have your own optician we would encourage you to keep visiting them, however where this is not possible, we do have an optician who is able to visit us and will be happy to add you to their list.

chiropodist

We are able to arrange for a chiropodist to visit Town Thorns if requested. If you prefer your own chiropodist, they are welcome to visit.

chapel

The chapel is situated in the old manor house and is used frequently for services.

hairdresser

We have an independent qualified hairdresser whose services are made available to all residents in our very own salon. If a resident is unable to attend the salon, the hairdresser will visit them in their room.

telephone

Many of our rooms have their own telephone points and you can choose to have your own private line. The cost of re-connection and monthly charges are the responsibilities of the service users or their families.

physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and diversional therapy

We have a trained physiotherapist on-site, as well as a hydrotherapy pool which can be used for mobility treatment by our trained staff. We also have a diversional therapy department who co-ordinate a full timetable of activities for our residents.
