Helen Owen RGN, Matron

Helen has worked within the care home sector since 1997 as part of the management team, and joined BEN as Matron in March 2005. Helen gained the Registered Managers Award in November 2004, and has achieved the Chartered Management Institute Level 5 qualification.

Nicki Ballinger, Assistant Matron

Nicki joined BEN in 1996 as an Enrolled Nurse before completing her adaptation course in 2004. Nicki worked as Night Unit Manager until 2005 when she became Unit Manager of Terrace Wing. Following standardisation of the centres Nicki took on the role of Assistant Matron in April 2006. Nicki has recently completed a university course entitled ‘Enabling Others' which involved mentoring a Social Studies student. In July 2008 Nicki completed her NVQ4 in Management.

Caroline Pell, Lead Clinical Nurse

Caroline joined BEN in December 1999 as a Registered Nurse on nights. Caroline then became the Night Unit Manager before transferring to days as Unit Manager on Ground Floor Nursing. Caroline achieved an NVQ4 in Management in May 2009. In April 2009 Caroline was appointed as Nursing Unit Manager covering the nursing units.

Maggie Enticott, Residential Care Manager

Maggie joined BEN in 1996 as a care assistant. In 2000 she was promoted to Team Leader. After working extremely hard at self development by attending courses, achieving her NVQ 2 and 3, Maggie was appointed Residential Care Manager in 2005. Maggie has completed her NVQ Level 4 in Care Management and completed her Registered Managers Award in 2005.
