On Sunday September 11th 2011 Vospers held a Football Charity Day to raise money for BEN the automotive industry charity. The event that took place at Topsham Town Football Club was a great success, raising an amazing £2051.60 for BEN.
Inflatable games, a magician, and face painting were a selection of the activities that were available to entertain the 250 plus guests that turned up for the charity day. A performance from CHILL, a Somerset based band, provided further entertainment.
The highlight of the day was the charity football match between Vospers employees and the Exeter Legends team. The game was not short of goals as the Exeter Legends tallied an impressive 9-1 win over the Vospers.
Chairman, Peter Vosper, presented the Charity Shield trophy to Jimmy Giles, the Exeter City FC Legends manager, at the end of the match.
Chris Lamb, Exeter CMA Manager commented, "The Vospers BEN Charity Shield and family fun day is a great success story. We have raised a large sum of money and I feel confident that it will be put to good use. BEN is a charity close to the heart of Vospers employees and we aim to continue helping BEN for years to come".
