In July 2011, the Northumberland Local Authority, NCT, inspected BEN's Birch Hill care centre.
The yearly inspections originally started in 2009 and since then Birch Hill care centre has improved its positioning year upon year. It is now placed in the top banding of one with three being the lowest banding. Birch Hill care centre has gone from 83 points last year to 115 points to this year which is an amazing achievement for everyone involved.
Denise Turnbull, matron at Birch Hill said, "This is fantastic news for us and this is due to the hard work and dedication from all of the staff at Birch Hill who have ensured that the paperwork and care plans have been completed to the standards of the NCT. We are now preparing for our next goal to maintain this scoring and ensure that we provide the best care possible for our residents."
