Marshall Motor Group is the first motor dealer group to sign up to Dealers Backing BEN which launched on 9 June.

By agreeing to donate just £1 from the sale of each car through auction, it is estimated that between them, the largest retail groups could raise over £500,000 every year for BEN through this new initiative.

"It's been great to see early interest in Dealers Backing BEN and we are already in negotiations with a number of dealers about participation. We are really grateful to Marshall for the speed with which they have reacted to this initiative. We hope to be able to announce many more success stories over the next few months."

Marshall Chief Executive, Daksh Gupta, added;
"Dealers Backing BEN is a fantastic initiative which will make it easier for dealer groups like us to donate to BEN and I hope the retail sector will all join in to increase the proportion of funds being donated to BEN by our part of this great industry of ours. I am sure my colleagues in other groups will be quick to sign up as well.

"For dealers, Dealers Backing BEN allows the cost to be spread over many transactions each month rather than on one large amount every so often. It is tax and VAT efficient and was an easy decision for us to make. I would encourage the heads of all the AM100 and Motor Trader 200 dealer groups to get behind this campaign for BEN.
