BEN would like to thank the Southport Cruisers for their ongoing support.
The Southport based bikers rode from dusk until dawn to raise money, riding from Southport to Scarborough. They made £350 for BEN's centre in Southport; Alexandra House. This is the second time that Southport Cruisers have taken part in an event to support BEN. Earlier this year they arrived in convoy to the centre to deliver Easter eggs to the residents and are becoming firm favourites among residents and staff.
Alexandra House Assistant Matron Jan Halbeck said,
"We were absolutely delighted to receive the donation of £350 raised during the recent Coast to Coast trip. The money will be used to purchase a specialised chair for one of our particularly frail residents."
