Simon Boxall and Simon Dunsmore of Jemca Group will ride to seven European countries in seven days on their motorbikes to raise money for Ben, the UK's automotive and related industries charity.
Their planned route is through France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, through the French Riviera to Spain and then back to the UK. They are asking colleagues to sponsor them £7 each and have had to increase their original target of £1,000 to £4,000 due to the immense amount of interest they have received.
Speaking of the challenge, Simon Boxall, Toyota Brand Director at Jemca said,
"A tour around Europe on my motorbike was one of the boxes I had to tick. As the plan developed I came up with the idea of the BEN 777 Challenge which stands for seven countries in seven days for seven pounds. I have had a long and rewarding career in the motor industry and have always supported BEN as our industry's charity and because of the wonderful work they do. The interest has escalated so much that I now have a target of £4,000 which I know will go to a great cause."
Charles Davis, BEN's Director of Fundraising and Communications said;
"This is a fabulous idea and we are very grateful to Simon and Simon for giving up their time to raise money to help us reach out to industry colleagues who are in need. We hope they have a wonderful time on their journey and enjoy the best riding Europe has to offer."
