This year's summer fete and vintage car rally, taking place in the beautiful grounds of BEN's nursing and residential centre, Lynwood, is certainly not one to be missed. It's a wonderful day out with lots to see and do - and this year it's taking on a Caribbean theme, complete with steel band!

The whole family will enjoy the grand garden fete with dog show, farm animals, birds of prey demonstration, giant Michelin man, face painting, games and toys and Ascot miniature railway rides. Not to mention a wide range of stalls, tombolas and raffles. A barbeque, tea room, bar and other refreshments will also be available.

The Vintage & Classic Car Rally will start from No 10 Coach Park at Ascot Racecourse at 11.15am. By kind permission of the Crown Estate, the rally has special permission to run the route through Windsor Great Park, out by Blacknest Gate and then onto Lynwood at approximately 12 noon. 200 magnificent vintage, veteran and classic vehicles will be on display throughout the day at Lynwood, with the Concours D'Elegance Awards taking place later in the afternoon.

In addition, there will also be a special display of Minis to mark this iconic car's 50th anniversary.

The fete opens to the public at 12.30pm and will be officially opened by a celebrity at 1pm. We hope you can make it and look forward to seeing you on the day!
