Euro Car Parts (ECP), the UK's leading aftermarket parts supplier have kicked off their active fund raising campaign with the first cheque presentation at Birmingham City Football Ground on 21 August.
Donna West, Director of Communications at ECP presented the cheque to Charles Davis, Director of Fundraising and Communications at BEN. ECP has recently joined forces with a sponsorship deal with Birmingham City Football Club and also have a successful branch in the centre of Birmingham.
Donna said: "ECP pro-actively support BEN and we were delighted to be able to give them money. This will be the first donation of many as we are encouraging all our staff to generate sponsorship ideas to get actively involved in supporting BEN as their charity. Each new branch that opens is tasked with their own BEN challenge and at the end of the year the final amount raised will be matched by the owner of ECP Sukhpal Singh.
"Hopefully ECP and our customers will never need BEN's assistance but it is vital that they know BEN is there for them whenever needed."
Charles added: "In such a climate, the industry is hard-pressed to maintain its financial contributions to BEN, the charity that supports those who work or have worked in the industry. And yet, it is at times like these that more colleagues from across all sectors within the industry need our help. I am delighted to receive a cheque from ECP and I am also encouraged that the support for BEN is being filtered throughout ECP and that all staff will help to raise money for their charity."
