Enterprise Rent-A-Car has been supporting BEN for over five years now. The international car rental company started off as a small family business 52 years ago, and still relies heavily on the values of their founder, Jack Taylor. One of those principles is to "strengthen our communities, one neighbourhood at a time" - and that is certainly being carried out in the automotive community through BEN.
Over the years, Enterprise has been involved with various volunteering projects and charitable causes at BEN. For Ed Spitzer, Enterprise's Remarketing Director and head of their Charity Committee, "supporting BEN is an obvious choice as it's the automotive industry's own charity".
One of the most imaginative initiatives that Enterprise has invited BEN to participate in is the Angel Tree Project. This project involves giving items that many take for granted as gifts to individuals who find themselves in difficult times. Nominated by local charities, each person's initials, gender and simple gift requirement is written on an angel shaped card and hung on the company Christmas tree. Enterprise employees then choose an angel from the tree and purchase the gift. BEN was invited to put forward the names of some of our beneficiaries in order give them something special for Christmas, especially as this can often be a difficult time for some.
Enterprise's commitment to volunteering is truly inspirational. As Ed Spitzer told us, "It's not just a box we need to fill - Enterprise passionately feels it's the right thing to do".
We would like to thank them for all their help and dedication.
