BEN's Birch Hill Residential Centre has taken delivery of a wheelchair access car which has been loaned by Vic Young (South Shields) Ltd.
Birch Hill is operated by BEN, the UK's charity for employees past and present of the automotive and related industries and their dependants.
Managing Director Vic Young has been a long term supporter of BEN and said of the loan;
"I am pleased to do whatever I can to support the motor industry's charity and am delighted that this vehicle will prove such an important facility for the residents of Birch Hill."
Nigel Williams, BEN's Head of National Development said;
"When I discussed this with Vic, there was no hesitation, he agreed to lend us a vehicle straight away. It's a fantastic gesture and completes our mission to have this type of vehicle in each of our residential centres where they will provide much more flexibility for the staff and residents."
