52 people, 26 clapped out cars and a whole lot of courage? It can only be Bangers 4 BEN!

Bangers 4 BEN has been arranged by Car Dealer Magazine to raise funds and awareness for BEN; the UK's charity for people connected to the automotive and related industries.

The idea is to buy a car for less than £250, drive it from Ascot to John O'Groats and back and then sell it at auction for a profit, with all money raised going to BEN. The first day takes us from BEN's Lynwood Care Centre near Ascot to Inverness, where we'll stop for the night. The second will get us to John O'Groats where we'll quickly celebrate before heading to another of BEN's Care Centres; Birch Hill, near Berwick Upon Tweed. At Birch Hill we'll have some more Bangers 4 BEN: a fireworks party for the residents there. The third day will see a visit to Mercedes Benz World and then home.

Days and dates are as follows:
Monday 9 November: Day 1: Ascot to Inverness
Tuesday 10 November: Day 2: Inverness to John O'Groats to Berwick upon Tweed- fireworks party at Birch Hill
Wednesday 11 November: Day 3: Berwick Upon Tweed to Mercedes Benz World
