The 57th Dublin BEN Ball was held this year in the Shelbourne Hotel on Saturday 25th October, in order to raise money for BEN, the Automotive Industry Charity. Almost 200 guests enjoyed a fabulous evening and danced the night away to the band ‘Hit Connection'. They were also entertained by the renowned violinist Tara Novak. In total, €20,000 was raised to help BEN continue its vital work in the industry.
The appeal throughout the evening for financial support was very well received and all contributed generously. Great support was received for the Teddy Bear table raffle, Reverse Bingo and the Auction (which included some fantastic lots such as golf packages, weekends away, football match tickets and hampers). Special guests included Christopher MacGowan, Interim Chief Executive of BEN and Paul Flanagan, President of the Society of the Irish Motor Industry, accompanied by his wife June.
BEN Irish Hon. Secretary and BEN Life Governor, Con Dalton commented, "The 57th Dublin BEN Ball was a major success and a most enjoyable night was had by all. I would like to thank all of our guests for their generous support. It will allow us to continue helping our colleagues in the industry who are facing hardship and distress."
