May saw BEN hold training awards presentations at each of our five care centres to coincide with National Adult Learners Week.
138 individual and 13 group certificates were presented to staff by visiting Mayors, Lord Mayors and senior BEN staff.
20 NVQ Level 2, 16 NVQ Level 3 and one NVQ level 4 awards were honoured. Other awards were presented for common induction standards, palliative care, dementia care, fire marshal training, nutrition, activities planning, portable appliance testing, defibrillator use and coaching.
Special Merit Awards were presented to individual staff and groups who had gone over and above the call of duty.
At Birch Hill it was announced that the care centre has been nominated for the Employer of the Year Awards by Northumberland County Council.
