The Red Arrows took to the skies on Saturday 21 July 2012 and performed a FlyPast over Alexandra House Summer Fete making this event the most successful yet raising a outstanding amount of £2,046.
The Royal Air Force aerobatic team the ‘Red Arrows' are acknowledged as one of the world's premier teams and are renowned throughout the world. The Red Arrows receive more than 300 requests for displays each year, but only about 80 can be fitted into the team's summer programme.
The crowds poured through the doors soaking up the glorious sunshine and strolled amongst the vast array of stalls while enjoying the various attractions on offer.
Paula Ikin, BEN's Alexandra House Assistant Matron said, "We feel it was probably the best year. We had a steady stream of people open to close, it was fantastic. Because the Red Arrows came later on there was the anticipation with everyone waiting for them and they were bang on time at 3.02pm. They flew really low and everyone got a really good view."
