On 20 July 2012 Lex Autolease`s Dave Prole completed fourteen of the Highest Peaks in England in a Challenge to raise money for BEN. So far £714 has been raised but he is still aiming for a £1,250 target.

The challenge was to run 20 miles over 14 of the highest mountains in England, including Scafell Pike the highest mountain in England standing at 978m and Helvellyn being the second highest at 950m. The route was split into two legs as the mountains are contained within two ranges and this was linked by a 12 mile bike ride. The total route was completed in 8 hours 45 minutes.

Dave Prole, Senior Manager at Lex Autolease said, "I'm delighted to have got our 6 month association with BEN off to a flying start. I had been planning this challenge for some time as it combines my new hobby of running with my passion for cycling, and all through a part of the country I love, The Lake District. It was a tough day with wet conditions underfoot and low cloud on the tops but the many well wishes from all the people who contributed to the amazing total really kept me going. Having been in the Motor Industry for over 20 years it's good that I have been able to contribute something to this great cause."
