A team of 5 people from the automotive industry will be taking part in the Le Mans 24 hour Kart race with the aim of raising £10.000 for BEN at the end of June 2012. The final practice was completed last week and the team are all geared up for the test!
This annual event tests the endurance and skills of over 40 Kart teams each year at the famous circuit in France. One of the team, Duncan Metcalf said "This is a great way for friends across the industry to come together and support our industry charity BEN. I also want to thank, Aston Barclay, Manheim, BCA, Fleet assist and PJM Valeting for providing the support that has enabled us to participate."
The team of five who aim to raise this amazing amount for BEN are Duncan, Mike Smith, Alan Green Gary Philips and Tim Hudson all of who are long time Karting enthusiasts.
Nigel Williams, BEN's Commercial Development Manager added, "BEN are very pleased to have the support of the Karter's and also their sponsors who are looking to raise over a significant sum which will help to make a difference to some of the many thousands of people who turn to BEN for help."
