July 20 2012 saw KYB take on the UK Three Peaks in 24 hours Challenge for BEN. The team from KYB, the leading supplier of shock absorbers, coil springs and suspension mounting kits, raised an outstanding amount of £2,000.
The challenge began in one of Scotland's most scenic areas: Glen Nevis Valley, where the teams will climb Ben Nevis, the largest mountain in the UK, standing at 1,344m. Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England standing at 978m is the second peak and finally the challengers take on the highest mountain in Wales: Snowdon, standing at 1,085m.
The team of 4 comprised of Business Managers Stevie Moore, Romin Nassiri and Jordan Day, and Customer Service Supervisor Vicky Smith completed a 24 miles walk, a 10,000 feet climb and travelled 450 miles by road in 28 hours.
Vicky Smith, KYB's Customer Service Supervisor said "It was hard work, but a great experience. The weather was amazing and we never saw a drop of rain, although I did suffer from a severe lack of sleep."
Kelly Neal, Events Manager said, "Completing a challenge such as the UK Three Peaks Challenge is an amazing feat. The funds raised by KYB are greatly appreciated and vital to allowing BEN to continue giving much needed help to people in times of need."
