BEN's Staff Training Achievements Acknowledged in Style

BEN Acknowledges Staff Training AchievementsAcross the length and breadth of the country, BEN has been celebrating its staff training achievements with its annual recognition ceremonies during June 2012. The Training Awards presentations took place at each of its four care centres and day care centre and each event was honoured by local dignitaries.

BEN is extremely committed to the training of its staff and provides opportunities in a broad range of topics from social care to digital marketing. The vision and mission is that staff are trained to the highest standards possible to ensure that their residents and beneficiaries receive the best quality care and support.

This event was initially started as part of ‘Adult Learners' Week' and co-ordinated with the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education (NIACE) which is the leading non-governmental organisation for adult learning in the England and Wales.
This year a total number of 64 training awards were presented to 157 individual members of staff plus 15 group awards recognising the achievement and extent of the continuing professional development training extra to the extensive mandatory requirements of the social care sector.

Jean Woolliscroft, BEN's National Training Co-ordinator commented, "2011/12 has seen major challenges within BEN's training function with increased requirements from many different commissioning bodies and a general decrease in government funding to name just two but the BEN staff have, as ever, risen to the challenge and attained many learning & development awards and qualifications in order to ensure a highly qualified and skilled workforce even better suited to support our residents, members and beneficiaries with all their future needs."
