Three intrepid employees from The Funding Corporation recently jumped to take on a charity challenge from a height of ten thousand feet. They decided that a sponsored sky dive would provide them with a high speed solution to raising funds for National BEN Week, celebrating BEN's 107th birthday.
Mark Rogers (26), Rick Hughes (24) and Jo Shaw (24) were seen clambering into a light aircraft at Tilstock airfield near Whitchurch in Shropshire. As the plane reached its highest point, each took it in turn to jump with a tandem sky diving instructor, and enjoyed a 30-second freefall before their 'chutes opened at five thousand feet.
Friends, family and work colleagues of the three provided £530 of sponsorship money for BEN which was doubled up by The Funding Corporation to create a £1060 donation.
The company which provides finance for car purchases and operates a national network of used car retail outlets has long been a supporter of us and BEN says a big ‘thank you'.
