Volunteer for BEN

We provide the best possible service to those in need who are connected to our industries and our volunteers help make this possible.

BEN undertakes a diverse range of activities and because of this we believe that whatever your background, ability and availability we have an opportunity to suit you. We also believe that you'll find volunteering for BEN both challenging and rewarding. Knowing that you are helping to make a difference to the lives of people connected to our industries will make you feel great.

You could:

• Become a BENfriend or TeleBENfriend, visiting beneficiaries or supporting them by phone.
• Support the events team at shows and exhibitions.
• Assist the Regional Manager in your area with administrative or practical skills.
• Assist at a residential or day care centre, or by driving residents on outings.

Voluntary Groups

In addition to the numerous individual opportunities for volunteering, there are groups who collectively raise funds for BEN. They are always interested in hearing from potential members with a similar connection to the industry:

• BenHer - An all female group, comprised of female industry executives and the wives or partners of prominent industry executives. They support BEN by organising their own fundraising events throughout the year. This group has existed for 10 years and in that time has raised over £750,000.
• BENergy - This group specifically aimed at younger employees from every level of the various trades and industries BEN represents. The group has been established to help raise awareness among young people, and ensure BEN is relevant to future generations.
