Payroll Giving

Did you know, if your employer has a Payroll Giving Scheme, you can make a regular gift to BEN through your pay?

Donating through Payroll Giving is a simple tax- and cost-efficient way for you to help us care for those most in need. If your employer already offers Payroll Giving, all you need to do is authorise your employer to deduct the regular donations from your pre-tax pay. They then pass these on to BEN (BEN is a Payroll Giving agency approved by the Inland Revenue).

Your Payroll Giving donation is made before (you pay) tax, so your gift is worth more as the money that would have gone to the Inland Revenue comes directly to us instead. For example, if you donate £5.00 per month and you pay 20% tax the actual cost to you is £4.00 and if you pay the higher rate of tax at 40% then it will only cost you £3.00. So it costs you less to give us more!

If your employer doesn't offer a Payroll Giving Scheme, why not suggest starting one? BEN would be more than happy to help implement a scheme at your employer's invitation and as an agency approved by the Inland Revenue, no third party needs to be involved.
