Lynwood

Lynwood was the first BEN centre to open and since the late 1940s has been developed to provide a range of accommodation and caring services in surroundings which are graceful, dignified and attractive, as well as being warm and friendly. Located in its own delightful grounds near Ascot, Lynwood is well placed for easy access to attractive countryside and all the facilities of a number of towns and good shopping centres. Within easy reach of the rail and motorway networks, Lynwood has good access to London and also the South Coast.

For those who require full time nursing, Lynwood offers 30 nursing beds with highly trained staff, so the most exacting needs can be met. We ensure that maximum independence and dignity is achieved for residents. The rooms are mainly single with en suite WC, and residents can decorate them with their own furniture to make them feel comfortable while keeping some familiarity.

Lynwood has 45 residential care beds. Carers are trained to meet the needs of residents who require personal assistance and to help them remain as independent as possible. The rooms are fitted with a call system to ensure day or night assistance is on hand.

A number of self-contained flats are available, with a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen to ensure residents maintain an independent way of life. Some have a superb view overlooking the well-maintained gardens.

Day care facilities are on hand for non-residents, who can receive physio or nursing care from our well-trained staff.

Lynwood's therapy department is at the hub of the centre. Regular physiotherapy is offered to all residents, helping them to stay mobile and independent for as long as possible. Diversional therapy is offered, as well as activities such as bingo or aerobics. This is crucial for valuable social interaction, as well as mental stimulation.

Lynwood's hair salon is always a hive of activity. Open five days a week, it offers a vital service for residents who may not be able to get out. The licensed bar is also a popular social area where residents can have their favourite drink while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
