Shops, theatres, the promenade and Victoria Park (home of the famous Southport Flower Show) are all on the doorstep. From the time Alexandra House opened its doors in 1983 it has enjoyed a reputation for warmth and friendliness combined with BEN's high standards of professional care.
Alexandra House offers 23 nursing beds to care for those who need 24-hour care. Our highly qualified nurses ensure the most exacting needs can be met and residents experience the highest quality of life possible.
Highly qualified carers are supported by skilled physio staff and are on hand 24 hours a day to help residents with mobility, ensuring the highest level of independence is achieved.
Carers are trained to meet the individual needs of residents who require personal assistance to remain as independent as possible. Alexandra House has 28 residential care beds. Residents can decorate their room with their own furniture and there is a built-in call system, should anything be required day or night.
There is a well-equipped diversional therapy department with a daily programme of get-togethers for games, puzzles and handicrafts. There is also a full programme of events, including parties, outings and visits. This all provides much needed social interaction, a bit of fun and a chance to catch up on the latest news.
A hairdressing facility means residents can enjoy a spot of pampering even if they can't get out as much as they would like. It offers the familiarity they may need.
