The Wrong Way Round for BEN

Tom Blakeman, a QA Engineer from Toyota Manufacturing in Deeside, decided to spend his summer holidays raising money for BEN, the Automotive Industry Charity by cycling 899 miles from John O’Groats to Lands End.

Pictured here arriving at Lands End Tom Blakeman was indeed a happy man having completed his arduous journey in just 9 days without any support crewe.    He commented, “I managed to do my bike trip the wrong way round from John O'Groats to Lands End, cycling just under 900 miles.   The trip took me from the Scottish Highlands into the Lake District, along the border of Wales and into Devon and Cornwall, finally finishing at Lands End. Currently I have managed to raise over £1400 for both BEN and DIANA the Childrens’ Community Nursing Services.”   He went on to say, “I would like to thank everyone who has supported me throughout my training and trip and to those who have sponsored me.    Just to prove I did do it, please find attached a picture of me at Lands End.”

Finally, for those still wishing to sponsor Tom you can do so by logging onto www.justgiving.com/jtolsolo
