Big Band Sound comes to Lynwood Residential & Nursing Centre in Ascot
The Mayor of the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, Councillor Leo Walters and his wife Margo headed the celebrated guest list at BEN’s Big Band concert on Saturday last when £1,500.00 was raised for projects within the Lynwood Residential & Nursing Centre.
Charles Davis, Director of Fundraising & Communications who welcomed everyone said, "As I have only recently joined BEN this is the first time I have attended this event which is organised by the BEN Lynwood League of Friends who do so much fundraising for our Charity. Thanks to the financial support of our sponsors, Ted & Olive Read, and Elaine Cowley of Vauxhall Motors, this event was a great success and we were lucky to secure the prestigious Bucks, Berks & Oxon Big Band. Over 250 visitors and residents were in attendance and they were all able to picnic and dance on the South Lawns. We all had a wonderful time."
