Capital Grant Awarded to BEN at its Lynwood Centre in Ascot by The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead

BEN's Nursing and Residential Centre in Ascot has recently been awarded a capital grant from the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead to improve the care facilities for its residents.

Julie Way, BEN's Matron, applied for funding earlier this year and is delighted that Lynwood's application has been successful, stating," We acknowledge that it is the right of our residents to live in a pleasant and safe environment and these much needed funds will increase the quality of life for everyone who live here as well as increasing the self respect and self esteem of all those we care for. Upgrading of our communal areas will begin over the forthcoming months and this will include the replacement of carpet and redecoration too. We are extremely grateful for this capital grant."

Lynwood was opened in the 1940's and is located in its own extensive grounds near Ascot, and provides nursing and residential care, sheltered housing and a specialist unit for the Elderly Mentally Infirm (EMI). The range of services is extensive and includes a salon, launderette, licensed bar, library, chapel and visitor accommodation.
