BEN Supports Adult Learners' Week, 19 - 25 May, at its Lynwood Centre in Sunninghill, Ascot

BEN, the Automotive Industry Charity, will be supporting Adult Learners' Week at its Lynwood Centre next week and will be presenting staff with Training Awards, in recognition of individual achievements. The Presentation of these awards will take place on Monday 21st May, at 2.00pm with the Mayor of Windsor and Maidenhead, Councillor Margaret Cubley and her consort Mr Geoffrey Cubley attending along with other invited guests.

The benefits of continued internal training and development for staff are well recorded; they include improved quality of work, reduced staff turnover and absenteeism, improved internal communication and reporting, increased potential for internal promotion amongst existing staff and improved learning cultures.

Sara Howard, HR Director, commented "This is an important step forward for BEN and acknowledges our commitment to staff training. It also recognises the commitment of our staff to continuing their own personal and professional development, in order to support the quality of care afforded to our residents. These presentations are also being held at our other Centres nationally during this period."

Lynwood is both BEN's national headquarters and a residential centre providing care and accommodation for more than 100 people with a wide spectrum of needs. The principle buildings provide residential and nursing care, with 48 additional flats within the grounds offering sheltered accommodation.
