Position:

Events Support Assistant

Location:

London and the South East / Midlands

Responsible to:

BEN Events Team and Regional Volunteer Groups

Field of work:

Events and exhibitions.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support staff and volunteers with the setting up and running of events and exhibitions.
  • A variety of different roles (e.g. setting up décor, manning stands, car park attending, donation bucket collecting, selling national car/bike draw tickets and BEN merchandise).

Applicant requirements:

  • Approachable, confident, reliable and hard-working individual.
  • Enjoyment of practical, ‘hands-on’ work.
  • Willing to travel to and work at inside or outside locations.
  • Ability to build a rapport with people of all ages and backgrounds.

  • Midlands region.

Working Hours:

  • Mostly weekends, but depends upon type of event or exhibition.
  • Occasional basis.

Training:

  • Full on the job training.
  • BEN Information pack.
  • Annual Training Day.
  • External training opportunities.

Reimbursement of Expenses:

  • Travel expenses to and from work.
  • Any other expenses agreed.
