Position:
Minibus Driver
Location:
Northumberland and Merseyside
Responsible to:
Facilities Manager / Activities and Crafts Co-ordinator
Field of work:
- Minibus Driving
- Supporting social outings for elderly and vulnerable adults
Would suit:

- Anyone who wants to do something worthwhile in their spare time.
- Anyone looking to learn new skills and experiences.
- People looking to develop confidence and communication skills.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide transport to various locations (e.g. shopping, church, bingo, day-trips), waiting until events have ended, before driving them back to the nursing home.
- Help elderly residents in and out of the minibus.
- Chat to residents.
Applicant requirements:
- Empathetic, caring and understanding individual.
- Honest, reliable and patient individual with good listening skills.
- Non-judgemental and tolerant attitude is imperative.
- Reliable and punctual individual.
- Must be able to travel to care home.
- Knowledge of the local area is essential.
- HGV license (held for 3yrs) is desirable, but not essential.
- Individuals will be CRB checked.
Location:
- Birch Hill, Norham, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland, TD15 2JZ.
- Alexandra House, 2-4 Lord Street, Southport, Merseyside, PR8 1QD.
Working Hours:
As and when required (Mon – Fri, office hours).
Reimbursement of Expenses:
As agreed with the Facilities Manager or Activities and Crafts Co-ordinator.
