Position:

Physiotherapy and Activities Assistant

Location:

Lynwood Nursing and Residential Centre, Sunninghill, Ascot

Responsible to:

Physiotherapy Department / Activities and Crafts Co-ordinator

Field of work:

  • Caring for the elderly and vulnerable adults.
  • Socialising and running activities for residents.

Would suit:

  • Anyone looking to gain work experience in a caring, medical or charity environment.
  • Someone wanting to make a direct difference to peoples’ lives and have contact with beneficiaries.
  • Anyone who wants to do something worthwhile in their spare time.
  • Anyone looking to learn new skills and experiences.
  • People looking to develop confidence and communication skills.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To follow physiotherapists' instructions regarding patients (e.g. helping patients walk, tidying up etc.).
  • Chat to residents.
  • Help organise and participate in activities and games.
  • Make tea/coffee and assist residents.

Applicant requirements:

  • Empathetic, caring and understanding individual.
  • Patient individual with good listening skills.
  • Individuals will be CRB checked.
  • Reliable and punctual individual.
  • Must be willing to travel to Lynwood Nursing and Residential Centre (next to Head Office).

Location:

Lynwood Nursing and Residential Centre, Sunninghill, Ascot, Berkshire, SL5 0AJ.

Working Hours:

At least one day or a half day a week, during office hours (Mon – Fri).

Training:

On the job training and full time support will be provided.

Reimbursement of Expenses:

  • Travel expenses to and from Lynwood.
  • Any agreed by the Physiotherapy Department.
