Dan will be leaving on Friday 2nd September to start his journey in his pimped Ford Escort Mark 4.

It is the kind of idea you would associate with the Top Gear boys; buy a car for less than £300, decorate it, and race from England to Prague.Dan Jones, from Braintree has taken on the challenge in order to raise money for BEN.

The 31 year old brought a Ford Escort Mark 4 last month and will now start repairing the vehicle before his departure on Friday September 2.

The trip begins with a drive from Braintree to Lille in northern France, where Dan will meet up with the other competitors in the race.

Prior to setting-off, Dan is hoping street artists will take on the challenge of decorating his car, as points are warded for the wackiest design.
