Lucy is our hairdresser who visits each week. She has her own hair salon on the ground floor, so no matter what your mobility needs are, Lucy will be accessible to you.

Fay is our beauty therapist who visits us each month. She provides a whole range of treatments, but a firm favourite with our ladies is her deluxe manicures. Fay visits each resident in their own bedroom and is always happy to discuss her range of treatments personally. She certainly is a real must if you fancy a little extra pampering!

We have two very special friends who visit us each month. Jess and Georgie are two much loved pat-a-dogs who love to be played with and fed by our residents. We have seen first hand how much joy and pleasure Jess and Georgie bring, and they are always most welcome.

During spring and summer we have weekly trips out in our mini bus. We love to explore the Northumberland coastline as well as up into the Cheviot Hills. Come rain or shine, everyone loves the trips out - especially the picnics.

We have teamed up with a local charity called Harmony who specialise in musical concerts. They visit us each month and many a happy hour is spent in the company of their excellent musicians.

Within our small village we have a small primary school who visit us as often as possible to sing, dance and perform their plays. The children are always most welcome here at Birch Hill and seem to enjoy their time with us.
