Nicola Hall, Manager
Nicola joined BEN in 2007 as secretary and P.A. to the Matron. Following some restructuring in early 2009, Nicola was promoted to the role of administration manager and had overall responsibility for the admin of the centre. In 2012 Nicola has been promoted to Manager of Birch Hill.
Joan Pitman, Assistant Manager
Joan joined BEN in early 2006 as part of our care team. Having completed her NVQ level 2 and 3, Joan was promoted to the position of Care Manager in November 2009 and had overall responsibility for the care of our service users ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained. In 2012 Joan has been promoted to Assistant Manager.
Catherine Henderson, Lead Cook
Catherine joined BEN back in 1985 as part of the catering team. Catherine has worked extremely hard and has gained her NVQ levels 2, 3 & 4 as was promoted to lead cook in 2004 and has led her team from strength to strength
James Newton, Maintenance Manager
James joined BEN back in 1990 and can turn his hand to almost anything and certainly is 'Mr Fix It' around the centre. James has also developed the role of liaison between contractors and the centre, specialising in health and safety and fire training for staff.
James is a qualified mini bus driver who helps to take the residents on their weekly trips out.
Alex Jeffrey, Gardener
Alex joined BEN in 2000 and does a fabulous job in maintaining our gardens. Alex grows his own plants from seed as well as planting and maintaining his vegetable plot the produce of which we use in the house.
Alex also drives our minibus and can usually be found on a Thursday afternoon leading the residents on their weekly outing.
