types of care

Providing exceptional care is what we do best. We have achieved an ‘Excellent' 3* rating from the Care Quality Commission, and are one of only eight care homes for the elderly to have achieved this in Sefton. Read our inspection report. We have also been awarded the full 5* rating by the Assured Care Scheme.

Below you will find a description of the range of care that we offer. If you are unsure about the level or type of care that is needed, please get in touch and we'll be happy to talk to you about this in more detail.

residential care

We provide care for up to 28 residents. This type of care is suited to those people who still want to maintain a certain level of independence but need some help with their day to day living. Our professional carers are on-hand to provide assistance 24 hours of the day. All our residents receive regular meals tailored to their individual needs and can enjoy our varied timetable of social activities.

nursing care

We provide nursing care for up to 28 residents (in addition to our residential spaces), and specialise in end of life care (see below). Nursing is suitable for those people who need care for a medical condition and is provided by fully qualified nurses, 24 hours a day.

end of life care

We are committed to caring for people with terminal illnesses or diseases in the final phase of their lives. We specialise in this area of care and have received accreditation with a commendation for the Gold Standards Framework, a government initiative to optimise end of life care. Only 100 care homes in the UK achieved this in 2008 (the accreditation lasts for three years), and we were in the top 10.
