Tracy Brislen, Regional Development Manager

I've been working at BEN since 2004 as part of the regional fundraising team. I'm responsible for fundraising and raising awareness of BEN in the south of England. This involves developing relationships with companies and individuals to build better links to their industry charity and encourage support for BEN's work.

There's no such thing as an average day in my line of work. I'm always on the road meeting with different companies. A lot of my time is spent giving presentations about BEN to employees to try and encourage individuals to consider making a donation via Payroll Giving, which gives BEN that vital regular donation that's our life blood. Of course, we're always trying to recruit anyone who wants to volunteer for a fun challenge as well.

Raising funds for BEN can be difficult at times, but knowing that I'm helping to make a real difference to people's lives is a great source of motivation to me.
