I joined BEN at the beginning of 2011 tasked with increasing income and promoting the purpose and awareness of BEN at all organisations related to the automotive industry.

Our mission is to help ensure that anyone in need in the automotive industry will receive BEN's care and help. This motivates me to meet the daily challenges set in ensuring that we secure as much potential in the form of contributions through payroll, donations and sponsorship.

Payroll is particularly significant as it empowers individuals to have a positive influence on the lives of their immediate colleagues, counterparts and those in the extended automotive family. It is also vital in providing sustainable income ensuring that the contributions come from a wide number of donors.

At the same time we are just as committed to raising the profile of BEN through any channels we can to ensure those who need us know who we are, how to find us and what we can do. This is a great opportunity to meet a huge variety of people and visit a wide spectrum of businesses and organisations. Along with the many challenges of covering such a wide and varied industry come the rewards of knowing the difference we can make to the lives of our beneficiaries and their dependants.

In my short time with BEN, I have already seen the positive impact that the help we provide has had on those that have needed support. It is a great feeling to never have to question why you get out of bed in a morning!

It is great to be part of a team sharing such positive goals and it's a privilege to work with and for our BENeficiaries.
