I have worked for BEN for some 20 years. In the very early days, there was no mobile phone, no sat nav, no email or computer. I often wonder how I ever found my way round my little patch of Wales & Worcestershire or managed to catch-up with company executives to talk about BEN. Today, my BEN world is considerably larger, stretching from Cornwall to Bedfordshire and across South Wales. Each year, brings new people to meet, new companies to get to know, always something new to learn about our vast and complex automotive industry and new challenges.

What has made my job so enjoyable and satisfying for so long are the many wonderful individuals I have met over the years prepared to go the extra mile in supporting their industry charity BEN, making a real difference to the lives of thousands of people coping with distress in their lives, colleagues past and present and their families, but just strangers to them.

When I am not working, you might find me on the allotment, occasionally walking round an art gallery or looking at art books - one of my passions, exploring antiques and collectibles of the affordable kind, or simply stretched out on the sofa listening to music or watching TV; I am not the sporting-kind but do love walking in the countryside.
