United Aftermarket Network (UAN) is urging fellow aftermarket distributors and suppliers to show their support for industry charity BEN in the current economic climate.
UAN has, for a number of years, committed a percentage of its turnover to BEN and recently donated a substantial amount to the charity for the 2008-09 financial year.
BEN Gold supporter and UAN operations director, Rachael Dickinson, believes the aftermarket should play its part in supporting the charity. "The contribution from BEN's traditional supporters has declined rapidly and therefore the aftermarket needs to play its part in ensuring the charity continues to provide excellent care and support to motor trade employees and their dependants."
Charles Davis, BEN's Director of Fundraising and Communications said;
"BEN is extremely grateful to United Aftermarket Network for their very generous contribution at this difficult time. The money will go towards helping our colleagues in need and with more and more people from our industry turning to BEN for help and advice, this donation could not have come at a more critical time.
