what is Payroll Giving?
Payroll Giving is the most cost-efficient way for you to donate to BEN directly through your salary each month.
how Payroll Giving helps BEN
As the donation is made before you pay tax, the money that would normally go to the Inland Revenue (HMRC) goes to BEN instead.
So for example, if you donate £5 a month and you pay 20% tax, the actual cost to you is £4. If you pay the higher rate of tax at 40% then it will only cost you £3. If you contribute £11 per month (pre-tax @ 20%) it will cost you £8.80 plus you will attain BENGold status which is recognised by a gold BEN lapel badge and BENGold car sticker.
This regular funding is a vital source of sustainable income for BEN, as it allows us a greater ability to plan our expenditure more clearly and maximise its impact.
how Payroll Giving helps your organisation
By setting up a Payroll Giving scheme, you would not only illustrate your organisation's commitment to the industry in which it operates, but also to your workforce by ensuring that BEN has funding to continue providing our services.

how to set up a Payroll Giving scheme
BEN is an Inland Revenue (HMRC) approved agency, so we can help you get the scheme up and running with little effort from your organisation and no third party involvement. And unlike most Payroll Giving agencies, we levy no administration charge.
If your employer already has a Payroll Giving scheme in place, get in touch with your HR department and they will provide you with a ‘Payroll Giving' form. Simply decide how much you would like to donate to BEN each month and this will be set up to be deducted from your salary before tax.
